Happy New Year 2013!!!

Last year was indeed a year of great struggles and testing as well as a lot of amazing victories! I had to learn and practice forgiveness on a great scale, more this year than any year of my life. I also learned that passing judgment on others only brings upon ourselves troubles. This year, let us be more focused on the righteous things. Let us celebrate more often. Let us be diligent to pursue the purpose that God has created us for. And may you have a blessed holiday season, from me and my family. Blessings.

Life or Death?

The LORD alone can bring Life, yet there are religions which teach similar truths yet lead to death. I had someone look me in the eyes with all conviction last night and tell me that all Muslims are promised to go to Heaven but they'll have to pay for their crimes when they get there. And that before the "end" that all Muslims will have to fight all Jews, and that is an "unfortunate fact". A sick person walked in and my spirit was like, "LORD, should I lay hands on him and You heal him so that Jesus can get the glory?" But as I was about to ask the sick man if he would like prayer he started telling me the most outlandish doctrine about Jesus that I had ever heard. Truly, I felt the presence of demonic influence in that place and I left. I pray that in time I will be able to return and share the truth with the other man.

What great deception is left to those who do not have a relationship with the LORD Jesus Christ! 100% man, 100% God, yet He performed many miracles and taught of His Christ-hood during His lifetime. He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no man cometh to the Father but by me." Therefore, any religion teaching that Jesus was a prophet and a good man yet denies that His teaching about His messiah-ship is true is saying that it is okay for a man to lie to all of his followers about the only way to get to God the Father or to see Heaven at all. That's the way the enemy works. As long as he can distract us from getting to God altogether, he doesn't care how much "wisdom" we have. That is why the Bible teaches us, "There is a way that seemeth good to a man, but the end thereof is death." The Bible doesn't teach us that we have to kill others but it teaches us to be willing to die for others just like Christ did. Maybe that's why the world perceives it as weak. But the reason is because the God that we serve is so grand and so amazing in truth that He not only promises us great happiness after we die but we get to see His glory during our lifetime.

God sends to His people apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. He uses His people to perform miracles through by His Spirit. He raises people from the dead, heals the sick, and saves the lost. God can make a completely insane person become level-headed and at peace. It is in the Name of Jesus that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Is LORD. Jesus Christ has authority over Satan himself, having rebuked him openly while on earth. When the crucifixion took place, Jesus Christ took the keys from hell and the grave and now we are able to be saved by looking to that very same cross and believing in Christ as our Savior. Walking with God is a promise to have peace that passes all understanding. Many Jews who do not believe in the Christ bear a burden of religion yet do not have the same peace. They are not waiting to become Christians. They need to be introduced to the Messiah and baptized in the Holy Spirit so that they can be able to see the Kingdom of God. In fact, all of mankind needs to meet the Son of God so that they can indeed see the Kingdom of God and be made whole therein.

Father, I pray that You will save the lost even as You promised. Thank You for Your revelation and Your grace. Thank You for saving us. God we love You in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Pesky Depression!

Pesky depression. Always tryin' to show up at the most inopportune times. Anybody ever have that happen? Suddenly, you get alone, and you think about everything that you have no control over? That's Wack. I bind depression in Jesus' Name. I declare that God is LORD over all of my life and that He Alone Is my refuge and salvation and strength and my song. As far as my imperfections, I already know. The imperfections of those I love, God knows. I lay them at the altar. Perfect love casts out fear, fear hath torment, unforgiveness invites torment, and so I forgive everyone that has hurt me and ask for forgiveness from God also. Is there another way to deal with depression besides to take a counter-attack on it just like this???

There is no such thing as "Now"

Studying this morning in "Thou Shall Prosper", I just learned that the Hebrew language (the Jewish holy language of God) does not have a word for existing in the present, so that a rabbi might be led to believe that the actual "now" is intangible, non-existent, not real.

But I think Rabbi Daniel Lapin made a good point. There is such thing as that which was, and that which will be, but the concept of that which "is" is so intangible that it should not be our focus. How can we embrace change if we truly believe that it is possible to keep things the same?

First step is to throw "now" out and figure out what to toss from our past and what to make happen in our future. Every breath is in its own moment, and the previous breath is the past before the next one begins.

Therefore, let that which is to remain constant be constant, but let that which God intends to change be changed. Just another way to look at life. Have a great day!

Getting Out of a Rut: For me...

There is no day that a woman doesn't wish to awake, take a shower, fix her hair in the trendiest fashion, put on her makeup, and get fly. So why is it so hard to do that once you become a mother of 3, or 4 children? What is it that goes through the mind of a woman who is pregnant with baby #5, especially when she doesn't feel like showering one day? Well, hey, I can speak up on that one!

I know that my husband likes to see me happy all of the time, shinin' all the time, and on my ten/A game every day. Wish I could say I was. The last two days I spent not working out, and so obsessed with work that my brain is slicked back lol!!!! This is what's goin' through my head.

1) Order
Looking around, I wish that more things in my household were in better order. Some of them require money to change, some require time and wisdom to change, but whatever the case, I long for more order.

2) Romance
Man, what I would do for a rose and some candy right about now!!! Hahaha!!!!!

3) Joy
There is joy that only comes from the LORD. Definitely, I need some precious time before the throne of God to help me see that everything is worthwhile.

4) Growth/Feedback
Am I doing alright? How is my progress? Am I where I want to be in life? And how about my family? What can I do to make my family stronger, richer, larger, and better?

5) Rest
Ultimately, I need to rest my body and my mind.

There it is! My, my, my. I suppose this blog would be so incomplete if I didn't have a short list of solutions for the problem of "The Rut" feeling that a mom can feel regardless of how productive she seems to look. Well, no worries. I have some.

The solutions have to be practical and they can't be cliche. What is the first solution to the problem?

1) Babysitter
Make plans to have the children stay with a babysitter in the upcoming week so that you and your husband can have alone time.

2) Prayer/Worship
Really, this is #1, but whether the attempt to get a babysitter succeeds or fails, the prayer part is doable. Turn on the most "holy" worship music that you can think of, and play it on repeat. If it's feasible, do it while the children are asleep. Let God do some serious healing from all of the cares of this world. This is when all kinds of unforgiveness of self and others can be laid down at the altar, and purpose can flood the soul.

3) Sleep
If you feel "groggy", go ahead and go to sleep. When you wake up after a good night's rest, you will be surprised what your mind is able to do!

4) Make a "To-Do" list
Put on the list six of the most important things that you need to do. Do them all before you move on to the next. The system works and has been proven over and over again.

5) Talk to someone
It's always good to have friends. Sometimes for me, just sitting the phone down on speaker and listening to my friends talk about their own day helps me to focus while I clean up. Try it, it works! ;)

Okay, I'm done. I pray that somebody is helped by my blog. Now I'm gonna let my husband watch our baby while I take a long shower, pray, and go to SLEEP!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!!

Precious' Theological Football Analogy about Birth Control

Walking around, pregnant for a sixth time, by my husband, feeling privileged and praying for the good health of the baby, when an analogy about football and birth control come to my mind. Given, as one might guess, the reason for me exploring this mystical philosophy of "birth control" is probably happening more for my own benefit and faith, being that this will be our fifth child born as God would have it on June 28th this year. I have researched the Word and found that in spite of the flaws of many people there are still some who think that birth control of any kind is not right. Read the following quote about the 1930 Pope Pius XI:

"So Pope Pius XI explicitly said that married people should have sex with the full expectation that children could result each time. A married couple should in no way interrupt God's plan for them to have lots of children. To do anything else is a grave sin."(http://www.lisashea.com/lisabase/aboutme/birthcontrol.html)

It is actually hermaneutically sound to believe that birth control is not God's will based on the Bible. God said He knew us before we were formed in our mother's wombs, anointed us before we were born. (Jeremiah 1:5). Jesus lived a life of sacrificing His own life for his friends. He said that He came that we might have life and life more abundantly, but the thief came to steal, kill, and destroy. Anything that is not bringing life is siding with the thief (as I have heard many preachers conclude).

Yet today, most of us have a limit on just how much sacrifice we can handle when it has to do with children. We say that children are a blessing but when it comes to having them we treat the idea like a burden. We love the ones we have but we ask God to stop giving them to us once we have like 4 or 5. Hey, I now fit into the category of the 4 and now 5 soon, what should I do?

I have noticed that most of us want to be the ones to tell God when or if we will have them, but do not want God to refuse them to us. But God said to love God with all of our might, this is the first commandment. Second one is to love our neighbor as ourselves. If you were a baby, would you want to be your child? If you were your friend, would you like you? (joke) Well, if you love God, and you love yourself, then you can love your child, neighbor, friend, or the world, even enough to let them pass through the womb that God gave women.

Therefore, I have designed this analogy, with disclaimer, that I am not saying that children are a "cross" or a "ball" or anything less than a human being such as myself. I am grateful for the ones that God has given me and do not downplay their value in any way. This is only to illustrate the value of the decision whether to be fertile or sterile. The ultimate decision, however, is in each individual's hands.

Now for the football analogy:

In football, there is a move called INTERCEPTION, wherein, a player from the other team catches the ball while it is in mid-air, and thus, prevents your team from gaining yards on the football field through that pass.

With INTERCEPTION, your team is forced to retreat the ball to the team that intercepted the ball, allowing them to run the ball toward their goal instead, increasing the possibility of them scoring a touchdown, or getting a field goal, during the game time.

Consider the result of INTERCEPTION. Interception allows one team to virtually "STEAL" the ball from the opposing team so that it may score points against them and win the game.

Therefore, we may equate INTERCEPTION with STEALING, even though it is not technically called STEALING.

Now let us put the theological stuff in.

John 10:10 NIV states "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

In this context, the "thief" is the devil, or those working for him. But "I" is our LORD Jesus Christ, and those He works through.

The "they" is people, born or unborn.

All people (babies) come from God. God creates them and He "knows them before He forms them". Therefore, let us apply the metaphor.

Let us imagine that the football field is the "game" of life. Life on one end, Death on the other. The womb is the matrix. The ball symbolizes the spirit of the child, being chosen to be sent into a particular mother's womb, prior to conception. Remember that God is Who we are supposed to be routing for!!!

God has the ball. He has to get the ball into the touchdown zone in order to place the baby into a mother's womb. Then, He will provide all food and shelter for the baby, through the channel of the parent to whom He will entrust those resources. He will also provide for the parent. He knows the plans that He has for them. Plans to prosper them and not harm them. To give them an expected end. God is excited and ready to win the game of LIFE.

The devil is angry. He doesn't want God to send more ministers into the earth. He is prepared to steal, kill, and destroy the spirit baby before it is ever conceived in that chosen and anointed mother's womb, and win the game. All he has to do is INTERCEPT the ball, and he will prevent God from winning the game of LIFE. Then, he will run the ball to the touchdown line in order to ensure that those parents miss out on the greatest gift that God gives as an inheritance to man: a living child. He begins with his lies.

Before the game...

The Devil goes and speaks to the mother and father. He tells them that they are not competent enough to win the game. And that even if they do win the game, then he will cause them to have lack anyway. He will steal all of their money, peace, time, and happiness if they win. The Devil tells the mother and father (who are on God's team) that they need to stay away from him while he is on the field. And that if they pass the ball, to pass it to the Devil, so that God cannot run it to the LIFE side of the field and create conception.

Now, we have someone who is burdened, paranoid, with no peace. The parents feel threatened by the other team, and so for the next play, they decide to take a passive stance on the field.

This is where birth control comes in. The method of contraception doesn't quite matter. Ultimately, it is the decision to not be willing to help the team of LIFE to win the game.

Remember, it is the conspiracy, the bribe, and the propaganda created by the enemy that caused all of this fear. Before the game, the parents trained, and were excited. They even won a few games before. But this time, the devil has promised them that they will not be blessed if they win. They think, what would they do with another child anyway? They already have enough love and not barely enough time for the ones they have. Besides, labor hurts! Why would anybody want to have another baby? Isn't this a pro-choice country? Aren't children sent to earth just to us and for us? Then the responsibility falls on us alone, not God, to provide for these children. God will understand if we decide to let the devil win this time.

So, the parents go and clearly let God know that they will not sit out on this play, (stop having sex), but that they are going to allow the other team to intercept the ball, and win the game.

God looks at them perplexed. But being that God is a forgiving God, He grants grace, and allows them to go into the field and play anyway.

Deep in the parents' hearts, they think, God's team can win anyway, we are not the only players on the field (factors involved).

The play begins.

God passes the ball to them. But they do not try to catch it. Instead, they allow the ball to be INTERCEPTED BY THE DEVIL!!!

Demons are cheering!!! Go devil go! Go devil go!

The parents, standing on the field, quietly cheer on the devil in their hearts too, grateful to have escaped the burden of the threats that they heard before the game.

The devil runs..... runs..... runs..... and the ball is SAFE in the END ZONE OF THE DEVIL!!!

The baby is never conceived.

The family does not multiply.

God watches in awe...

But because of His love for the parents, He keeps them on the team anyway, as they are only human, and He knows that they can only handle so much pressure.

Now for some Scripture:

Psalm 127

1Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
2It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
3Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

Verse 1: If we do not allow God to build our household on His terms, then we are trying to build it ourselves, and thus, we are building in vain.

Verse 2: All of the responsibility of child-rearing is not ours, but God shares in it. We must have a willing heart, and trust in Him, so that we might be able to sleep at night knowing that He will bless the fruit of our womb and the fruit of our hands.

Verse 3: Children are God's reward!

Verse 4: When we are young, and we have children, they are like spears or arrows that will be sent out with vigor.

Verse 5: God promises that the man with many children will be happy, and that his children will not be ashamed. The soldiers who speak with the enemies at the gate are the front-line warriors! Together they bear one another up, and they are strong!

Psalm 37:25
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

God promises us that now when we believe in Jesus Christ, and are born again, we are not bound to the curses of this world, but that goodness and mercy shall follow us all of the days of our lives.

Deuteronomy 28: 2-4
2And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
3Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

God shows man that when they follow all of God's precepts that right along with being blessed in the city and the field, they will be blessed with the fruit of the body (children), and of the ground, and of the cattle, and the increase of the kine... in other words, having children does not equate to poverty, it is a part of prosperity in Christ.

In response to the enemy's propaganda, God would never allow His people to suffer because of His blessings. He doesn't make any mistakes. There are no "mistake" children. All of them are ordained before they are born, and God has a purpose for every child before they enter the womb. He knew us and He knows the ones He has chosen those alive to have. Poverty will not accompany childbearing, so long as one continues to walk in the Word of God. And poverty can still come to one who does not abide in His Word whether they have more children or not. The key is to trust God and know that He Is Able to be the Pro Who has the Choice of how many, when, and where each baby is conceived and when they are born. He also Is the giver of LIFE.

1 Timothy 6: 7
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
Acts 17:28
For in him we live, and move, and have our being;

Precious' Testimony

I was spoiled as a child, 'till my mom had a paralyzing stroke when I was 13. Then, my Dad worked all of the time. I became isolated, and when I got out in the world at 14, was molested, adulterated, used, taken advantage of. Had a reputation for fighting and being "easy" for falling in love w/the wrong boyfriends (gangstas, drug dealers). I rapped hard corps rhymes in the fashion of Lil' Kim and Big'n'Smalls. Was expelled from high school for fighting. Was told I may never have children. Barely getting out alive, I was divorced out of an abusive marriage to an alcoholic husband at age 20.

But at age 15, Uvern shared the Gospel with me and at 16 I was baptized in water and fire. At 21, I saw the love Kenny had for Christ and, seeing there must be so much more to this walk w/God, I rededicated my life to Christ, uninhibitedly, and truly repented and was delivered.

Since then, Kenny proposed to me and married me, now we have had 5 children, and I was able to receive an honorable military discharge, A.A. in Business, B.B.A. in Marketing, and... (most of the time lol) a Sound Mind. And all the rhymes I write? Biblical Doctrine. And because the Holy Spirit dwells in me (and in my husband) I have Peace.

I declare to all who read this, that every bit of success that I have as a person, is because of God alone. Had I never submitted to Christ as my LORD and Savior, I would probably have died or committed suicide before I ever reached age 25. But I praise God that I am alive!!! He endowed me with wisdom beyond what I had ever fathomed when I wasted so much time working 3 jobs as a teenager learning very little. Now when I look forward, I take into account the new knowledge, wisdom, and understanding that I will gain through Christ with time when I make decisions. And I study to shew myself approved unto God, so that I won't be ashamed, and will rightly divide the Word of Truth. Also, I know that when I die, I will be in Heaven with my Savior.

So don't work just to work. Do work, but work to gain knowledge, wisdom, and understanding through Christ. And before you work, take time to sit at the Master's feet and listen to God's voice, like Mary did (Luke 10:38-42). I know that just as He has radically transformed my life (and is continuing to do so), He can and Will do the same for you. Let go and let God. He'll never leave you alone.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10
